We offer layby for a 3 month period on any item or repair. The required deposit is 20%. We can also arrange alternative payments over the phone for customers outside of Timaru.

Please choose carefully as Ron Brown Jewellers cannot accept goods for return if you have changed your mind. For any goods found to be found faulty we will fulfil our obligation under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.


Valuations are required to validate any insurance claim. All formal valuations are generally used for items of jewellery over $3,000. One copy is normally submitted to your insurance company.


If you are not sure whether your jewellery needs a formal valuation, bring it into the shop to be assessed.


If you have suffered a jewellery loss, we can formulate an estimate of your loss in the current market.


We use Gilrose Finance. We can sign you up in store or add a purchase to your existing Gilrose Finance.

Shipping and Delivery

All orders are delivered door to door by Courierpost, Monday to Friday.

Customers can expect your items to be couriered within 2-4 working days. Shipping is $10 to the South Island, and $20 to the North Island. For your security we use a signature required service, which is fully trackable.

Orders will be processed as soon as possible after received.


We are happy to accept a return of your purchased item in exchange for an in store credit only where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased on the website or don’t perform as advertised.

Cancellation Policy:

Once an order has been made online it cannot be cancelled.
